Clarissa is an associate professor and educator at the Federal University of Parana. She works with English language teaching (ELT), literature, curriculum design and in-service and pre-service education of teachers in Parana.

UNIVERSIDADE DE SAO PAULO
Lynn Mario is an associate professor and educator at the University of Sao Paulo. He works interdisciplinarily with semiotics, linguistics, post-colonial studies and education. He is the editor of the journal: Critical Literacy - theories and practices and coordinates with Vanessa Andreotti the 'Through Other Eyes' project which is a 'sibbling' of OSDE.

Telma is an associate professor and educator at the Londrina State University. She works in the areas of ELT, teacher education, citizenship education and curriculum design. She is also a member of the International Consortium of Civil Society for Public Deliberation, a network of organizations and the Kettering Foundation, a research NGO dedicated to studies on deliberative democracy.

Chris works is the coordinator of the Critical Literacy Winter School, which is taking place in Brasilia in 2006. Her interests involve English language teaching, teaching of literature and teacher associations.

Heike is an associate professor at the University of Montreal. She works with literature and post-colonial studies. She is also part of the Globalization and Autonomy project which involves a number of Canadian Universities.

Lisa is an associate professor in teacher education. She works with post-colonial and feminist perspectives and research involves ethnographic projects on critical multiculturalism, multiliteracies, as well as literature education.

Matthias is the coordinator of DICE in Dublin. He is involved in the development of OSDE resources for primary schools.

Moshe works in informal educational settings with jewish-arab and palestinian-israeli students and communities. He is an activist for social justice and an enthiusiast for popular education.

NEW ZEALAND - MEREANA TAKI
Mereana is a Maori educator who works with several organisations in New Zealand. She is also an activist in the area of indigenous issues in her region.

Ana is the English Coordinator at the School of Interpretation and
Translation (ESIT) in Lima and a freelance language consultant specialized in preparing students for special examinations. She has worked in the area of English Language teaching for more than 20 years.

Ingrid works with post-colonial and feminist theory in undergraduate courses. She is also involved in community and new media activist projects.

I am an English Language Teacher at San Agustín bilingual secondary school and Mount Vernon Language Institute in Buenos Aires. I work transdisciplinarily with Discourse Analysis, Linguistics and Cultural Studies. I am also carrying out research into Gender Roles and how they are portrayed in children’s literature.
